Development of Tomorrow’s Transport Technologies – Nearly $10M to Support a Mobilizing Project for Sustainable and Smart Mobility

MONTREAL, May 18, 2023 /CNW/ – The Government of Quebec, through Investissement Québec, is allocating $9,885,000 to the non-profit organization Tangente IA, which brings together three partner companies: BusPas, KPI Digital, and Les matrices Carritec. This funding supports the Tangente IA 2.0 project, with total investments amounting to $19.77 million.

The announcement was made today by Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of Economy, Innovation, and Energy, who is also responsible for Regional Economic Development and the Montreal region.

Selected through a call for collaborative and mobilizing projects focused on developing tomorrow’s transport technologies, this initiative aims to create a hardware and software solution for connected bus stops, data analysis, and the dissemination of key information for various mobility stakeholders and smart cities.

The project will also introduce new functionalities and develop a display for the interiors of bus shelters, showcasing it in real-world situations in Quebec, Canada, and the United States.
