
MONTRÉAL, May 18, 2023 /CNW/ – The Government of Quebec, through Investissement Québec, is allocating $9,885,000 to the nonprofit organization Tangente AI, which includes three partner companies: BusPas, Knowledge Providers (better known as KPI Digital), and Carritec, to support the Tangente AI 2.0 project, which has a total investment of $19.77 million.
The announcement was made today by Pierre Fitzgibbon, the Minister of Economy, Innovation, and Energy, who is also responsible for Regional Economic Development and the Metropolitan area of Montreal.
Selected as part of the call for collaborative and mobilizing projects on the development of tomorrow’s transport technologies, this project aims to develop a hardware and software solution for connected bus stops, data analysis, and the dissemination of key information for various stakeholders in mobility and smart cities.
It will also introduce new features and develop a display system for the interiors of bus shelters, demonstrating its use in real-life situations in Quebec, Canada, and the United States.
